I don’t know if anyone notice this before but some of the character designs are similar to that of Akira. It’s not surprising though because the mangaka of Tengoku Daimakyou is a big fan of Akira and it influences his drawing artstyle.

このアニメで自分が最高に好きなところの1つは、マルとキルコのやりとりだ。まるで本物の人間同士のやりとりを見てるみたいで、すごくリアルに感じられる。エキセントリックなアニメキャラクターも好きだけど、現実的で楽しいキャラクターがポストアポカリプス世界をナビゲートするのを見るのは、すごくクールなものがある
One the things that I absolutely adore about this anime are the interactions between Maru and Kiruko. They just feel so genuine, it’s like watching real people interact with each other. Like, I do like my fair share of eccentric anime personalites but there is something just so chill about watching realistic and fun characters navigate a post apocalyptic world.
