I saw the japanese commenting if we would notice how the chapter is using watashi and not boku like always because it’s yamada’s pov.
Is it even possible to translate it in a way that makes the distinction in english?

This was also semi-copied from an extra. The whole “adults get into relationships via f***ing rather than confessing” bit from last chapter was also brought up in a Twitter extra released around the same time (late volume 4/early volume 5, so late 2020) so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was planning this arc out at the time.
