I actually missed this detail of Laios lassoing the kelpie’s tail more often than not while reading and re-reading the manga. Always wondered why there was suddenly a rope tied to it. It’s nice to see it more clearly in animation.

今回の原作3話分を圧縮する工夫は本当に興味深い。
The great ending of Kelpie requires some emotional weight, but they don’t have much time, so they make the bathing into an emotional montage, dropping the comedic lines, that way they have time to build up and earn Senshi’s final line.
This is a really interesting study of shortening these 3 chapters.

まずはカブルーパーティがまた死体で発見されたところ、次にライオスが歌で人魚たちを怖がらせたところ、そして恐らく俺が一番笑ったのは、チルチャックが何も言う前にライオスを叩きのめしたときだろう。
漫画を読んでたときと同じように、この作品のユーモアを心から楽しんでる。
What a good episode, it had me laughing a lot.
First when they found Kabru’s party, then even more when Laios scared mermaids with his singing, then probably the loudest was when Chilchuck smashed Laios before he could say anything.
I really enjoy this series’ sense of humour as much as I did in manga.

2話と同じように27分のエピソードだったな。ケルピーとクラーケンはよく脚色されてた。クラーケンは期待通りよく動いてたし、ケルピーのアニメーショは驚くほど緻密だった。
マーメイドのパートも面白かったけど、カブルー達が再び全滅するシーンをカットして後回しにしたからインパクトに欠けた。
It’s another 27 minute episode like 2. Kelpie and Kraken were well adapted; Kraken was well-animated as expected and Kelpie’s animation was surprisingly detailed. The bits of mermaid they adapted were funny, but it does lose impact because they cut Kabru’s party’s part to move it to later.

always look forward to jarman videos for threads I post in, they always make me laugh and I’m glad I can be a part of the dungeon meshi ones but the oshi no ko ones were my favourite, seeing the nips laugh at my jokes felt/feels great
