第1話「赤いガンダム」あらすじ：
　宇宙に浮かぶスペース・コロニーで平穏に暮らしていた女子高生アマテ・ユズリハは、少女ニャアンと出会ったことで、非合法なモビルスーツ決闘競技《クランバトル》に巻き込まれる。エントリーネーム《マチュ》を名乗るアマテは、 GQuuuuuuX ジークアクス を駆り、苛烈なバトルの日々に身を投じていく。同じ頃、宇宙軍と警察の双方から追われていた正体不明のモビルスーツ《ガンダム》と、そのパイロットの少年シュウジが彼女の前に姿を現す。そして、世界は新たな時代を迎えようとしていた。

I love the thought that Zeon started selling Zakus (probably because they don’t even need them that much) to citizens so they can use them for non-lethal purposes. It turns customizing your own Zaku kit semi-canon too.

Standard practice for a lot of modern anime. In fact, both Iron-Blooded Orphans and Witch from Mercury also had the OP sequence appear in Episode 2 as well. Though GQuuuuuuX has the ED sequence appear in episode 1, unlike the previous two where they play the series OP song for the Episode 1 ending.

エピソード全体が世界観構築でいっぱいだったけど難解な感じはなく、言動からマチュの深い動機や性格が意図的にほのめかされている。マチュがすごく好き。スモールでキュートで警官と戦う。
Having watched the episode in its entirety, I’m going to say that I liked it. 
The whole episode is filled with worldbuilding without feeling too dense, and there’s some deliberate hints at Machu’s deeper motivations and personality in her words and actions. Speaking of Machu, I love her. She’s smol and cute and fights cops.

Zabis in power is bad, but this story feels more small scale. If I had to guess, the endgame is going to be freeing the colony from Zeon’s influence and not about taking down the entire nation/ Zabis.
