俺はずっと宮崎監督のグリーンジャケットのテイクが好き。ルパンに関しては、そもそも彼のコンセプト自体がどれだけバカバカしいものかを考えると、カッコよさは重視しない。しういう理由で、軽快なアプローチの方が俺には合ってる。
アニメーションはこの時代にしては素晴らしい出来だと思う。
I’ve always been partial to Miyazaki’s Green Jacket take. I don’t care that much for edge when it comes to Lupin, given how inherently silly his entire concept is to begin with. So, a more light-hearted approach is a better fit to me.
Helps that the animation was just plain great, especially for the era.

お前は100%正しい。だがそれぞれのエピソードは素晴らしい。part 5に関しては、それぞれの章は素晴らしいけど、エピソード形式の方がルパンには合ってると思う(同様の理由でpart 2も好き)

you’re 100% correct, but the episodic episodes are mostly fantastic
as for part 5, despite each arc being great, i think that the episodic format fits lupin more (which is also why i prefer part 2, as it has a lot of episodes and all of them are episodic with two exceptions)

People bag on pink jacket but I’ve been watching it and don’t see it. Lupin has always been full of goofy shit, and the first series especially is chockablock with nonsense.

ピンクジャケットはおどけ具合が強いスタイルだから不当に評判が悪いのんだけど、俺はそれが上手くハマっててエピソードもいいと思う。赤ジャケットをもっと重厚にしたような感じ。
青ジャケットしか見たことがない人が敬遠するのもわかりますが、part 3のトーンとスタイルは、マンガを除けば、従来の作品に近いと思います。
Pink jacket gets an undeservedly bad rep because of its goofier style, but I think it works and the episodes themselves are still good. It’s like a more heavily stylised red jacket.
I can see people being turned off if the only thing they’ve seen is blue jacket, but the tone and style for part 3 is more in line with what came before, barring the manga.

Why didn’t they bother changing Lupin’s suit from part 4 to part 5. People argue it did change but it’s the same outfit with lighter shading is all. Lazy.

If there’s ever an “End” to Lupin (which I know is basically impossible), they should use the Black Jacket. It has a good theme look to it.

Doesn’t matter; green jacket was originally paired with a black shirt and yellow tie. With green jacket being the first outfit it had presidency and I don’t think they’d change it because of that. I believe it’s more likely they made the change separate it more from the arguably signature red jacket with black shirt.

Cagliostro is a fantastic movie and you shouldn’t mind people that yap about how it’s “a bad Lupin” because that’s utter nonsense
Go with subs. Even if you’re the kind that doesn’t mind dubs, the great voice cast is a nice part of the appeal of Lupin that you shouldn’t miss out on, especially if you end up watching more of it afterwards
