In the manga, it’s explained that they actually have several.
The last ~10 minutes of the episode are pretty aggressively non-canon filler. For whatever reason, UFOtable wanted to wrap the arc up with a happy message like: “you saved the swordsmith village”, even though the thing that was really saved were the people inside of it, and no particular congratulation was given by the village of smiths for their service.

He was only found out because Tanjiro has an amazing sense of smell. The only other person that might have been able to find him that isn’t a Hashira would have been Zenitsu with his amazing hearing.
That tiny freak just needs to hide and let his clones do all the work. And it isn’t like they’re weak; he seemed to have no issues fighting and Hashira.
And now we have to contend with the top 3 and Muzan himself…

蜜璃が全く重要ではないように見えてしまう、炭治郎がメインボスを倒してる間、蜜璃が中ボスを足止めしてるように感じられてしまうけど、強さ的にはその真逆なんだよな。
炭治郎が失敗すると半天狗が逃げることになるけど、蜜璃が失敗してしまうと、5分もしないうちに柱も炭治郎も死亡することを意味し、UM4は逃走して、おそらく刀鍛冶の里が壊滅することになる
Man, the first half of the episode was great, but Mitsuri’s fight ending in like 15 seconds almost cancelled it all out for me. I was sure they were going to constantly switch between Tanjiro and Mitsuri’s POVs, but in the end we don’t even get a full minute of Mitsuri.
It feels like they completely shafted her importance in this whole thing and made it feel like she was just stalling a side boss while Tanjiro beats the main one, when in terms of strength it’s the opposite – Tanjiro failing would mean that UM4 escapes, while Mitsuri failing means a dead Hashira, a dead Tanjiro within the next 5 minutes, and UM4 escapes and possibly massacres the entire Swordsmith Village.

個人的には過去最高のエピソードの一つに入るな。炭治郎と禰豆子のシーンは本当によく動いててすごく美しかった。音楽、感情、すべてが素晴らしかった。誰を救うか選ばないといけなくなったときに、炭治郎がパニックを起こしているのが本当に伝わっていた、尋常ではない感情だった。制作はこの最終話、本当に素晴らしいアニメ化をしたと思う。このエピソードを見て無茶苦茶にされたよ
one of their best episodes IMO. the scenes with tanjiro and nezuko were really animated so beautiful. the music, the emotion everything was incredible. i really could FEEL tanjiro having a panic attack when he had to choose who he wanted to save , the emotions were insane. IMO they really animated the manga really well this last episode. this episode had me in shambles .

Tanjiro’s stress was palpable during that scene. I was sure they wouldn’t kill off nezuko but it still gave me anxiety like crazy. This episode was amazing and it’s scenes like that that make demon slayer stand so tall.
