「サニック」とは、あるYouTubeのソニックファンユーザーが作ったネタキャラクターである。フルネームは「SANIC HEGEHOG(サニック・ヘジホッグ)」。2012年の9月末頃、0nyxheartという海外のYouTubeユーザーが、MSペイントを用いたイラスト動画を投稿した際に描かれたソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグと似て非なる存在である。
日本ではそれほど話題にならなかったが、海外ではその見た目がシュールを通り越して強烈なインパクトを与えており、元からソニックシリーズが海外で高い人気を誇っていた事もあり、数多くのファンアートが出回るなど独特の人気を確立するに至る。

It’s not explained in detail but Ojisan once explains that he doesn’t fly everywhere because it uses a lot of mana, and he needs to conserve his mana in case he gets ambushed.

どうやら、制作スタッフの間でコロナが流行したせいで、残りのシーズンが無期延期になったらしい。9月中に3-6話を再放送し、その後、残りのシリーズについてさらに判断するとのこと

I haven’t read the manga, but it’s a little worrying Ojisan has all these paraphernalia from the waifus. Was the memory wipe thing foreshadowing for some tragedy that occurred in the other world and so he left and wiped his memory? Is that why he has the elf’s dress?
