メインキャラクターは時雨と雪風。時雨がメインキャラクターということは、レイテ沖での西村の日本艦隊南方部隊を中心とした物語になるということ。
この戦いは日本軍にとってうまくいかず、日本軍の戦艦2隻、重巡洋艦「最上」、駆逐艦4隻が海峡を進み、アメリカの戦艦6隻、重巡4隻、軽巡4隻、駆逐艦28隻、魚雷艇39隻に待ち伏せされることになった。
最上がたくさん出てくるかどうかは、この戦闘や艦が回想/1話のみの出番なのかどうかによる

that really really depends
main characters are shigure and yukikaze. Shigure being a main character means that the story will revolve around Nishimura’s Southern Force of the Japanese Fleet at Leyte
This battle did not go well for the japanese, and involved 2 japanese battleships, the heavy cruiser Mogami (pictured) and 4 destroyers sailing up a strait into the waiting arms of 6 American battleships, 4 heavy cruisers, 4 light cruisers, 28 destroyers and 39 torpedo boats
so whether or not mogami shows up a lot will depend on whether or not this battle is a flashback/episode 1 battle and whether these ships will be flashback only characters

うーん、そうかも？
「史実を回避する」プロットにすることも出来るし、深海棲艦は艦娘が循環している姿だから「魂を救うために古戦場を巡礼する」プロットにして唯一の生き残りの時雨が昔の仲間の深海棲艦を倒して艦娘として蘇らせることとだって出来る。
俺にとってより重大な問題は雪風が丹陽になるのか、それとも史実のその部分を省略するのかどうかだ

they could be going for a “stop the past from happening” plot, or since abyssals are shipgirls in a cycle, they could be going for a “pilgrimage to the old battle site to save their souls” plot where shigure after getting over her depression about being the only survivor of surigao goes back and defeats her former friends to bring them back as shipgirls
the better question is if yukikaze will be Tan Yang or if they will skip that part of her history

翻訳なんかをしてくれるchoromeの拡張機能があったと思う。でも何年も前の話だから今も動作するのかは知らん
I think there’s a chrome extension or even a standalone player for the web browser game complete with translation, resource management, battle history etc. But that was years ago, no idea if it still works or not.
