Not only is Rin wonderful, it’s, I think, the best marriage between Shirou’s ideal of the hero with just enough of a dose of reality, pragmatism, and common sense. HF Shirou is just…so much less than he could have been.

UBW is best. It has the best waifu Rin, best GAR, best fights, best ideals, best bro through Lancer, and the red man himself as best boy. It’s the only route that allows Shirou to reach his best potential to become a specialized mage and also a Counter Guardian minus the regrets and doubts.

HFの桜はシンプルに気にかける気になれない。もし奈須が士郎の執着に共感させたいなら、彼女はHF以前から、そしてHF中でさえ、最後までベッドから出られない実際のキャラクターであるべきだった。
あとHFは全体的に多くの面で悪い意味で凝りすぎてた気がする。UBWやFateは、たとえ弱い部分があったとしても（Fateのバーサーカー戦やUBWの士郎対ギル戦など）、この点ではあまり苦労していないように感じられた。
一方でHollow Ataraxiaのさくらは素晴らしい
I simply can’t bring myself to actually care about Sakura in HF. She should have been an actual character before HF and even during HF before she hits the bed that she doesn’t get out of until the very end if Nasu wanted me to empathize with Shirou’s obsession.
I also feel like HF in general was overwrought in a wrong way at many points. Like the plot contrives way too much to make the intended story work, while UBW and Fate felt a lot less labored in this regard even if they had their weaker moments (such as the Berserker fight in Fate or the Shirou vs. Gil fight in UBW).
Hollow Ataraxia Sakura is fantastic, on the other hand.

UBW had the most interesting conflict. HF dragged on way too long with the Sakura suffering, but is saved by all the great Illya moments. Fate was just an extremely long info-dump that tried to melt my brain with boredom, although all routes suffer from this to some extent. As much as I like Kirei as a villain, the guy talks way too much.
