チェンソーマンは近年最も売れた漫画の一つであり、アニメ化も成功したように見えるが、いくつかの懸念される売上数字によると、アニメ化の将来は我々の予想よりも怪しくなっているようだ。
漫画の119話が公開されたのとほぼ時を同じくして、TwitterやRedditで共有された日本国内のブルーレイとDVDの売上のスクリーンショットでは、アニメの第1巻（第1話から第3話を収録）は両フォーマットで合計1735枚を売り上げたことが示されている。
いずれにせよ、この統計について議論しているRedditのスレッドのトップコメントには、他の人気アニメの初週売上と比較することで、目を見張るような、そしておそらく気になる結果が示されている。2022年アニメであるぼっちざろっく！の初週売上は17,000枚弱、リコリス・リコイルは23,000枚強で、チェンソーマンの売上を大きく上回っている。
チェンソーマンの2期が得られるかに関して、売上が全てでなければいいのだが、もし日本のメディアの物理的な売上げ大きなウェイトを占めるとしたら、人気少年漫画であるはずのアニメ企画は困難になるかもしれない

While Chainsaw Man has been one of the best-selling manga in recent years, and has been adapted into a seemingly successful anime, some worrying sales statistics have made the future of the adaptation a little less clear-cut than we may have thought.
More or less coinciding with Chapter 119 of the manga being released into the wild, a screengrab of Japanese domestic Blu-ray and DVD sales statistics shared on Twitter and Reddit shows that the anime’s first volume, containing episodes 1-3, sold a total of 1735 units across both formats:
In any case, the top comment on the Reddit thread discussing these statistics does offer up some eye-opening, and perhaps concerning comparisons to other popular anime, and their performances in their first week on store shelves. By comparison, in 2022, Bocchi the Rock! sold just shy of 17,000 copies in its first week, while Lycoris Recoil sold over 23,000 – well above and beyond Chainsaw Man’s comparative sales.
Again – hopefully said sales aren’t the be-all and end-all of whether we’re going to get a second season of Chainsaw Man, but if physical sales of Japanese media carry a significant amount of weight, the seemingly popular shonen adaptation could be in trouble.

No, people who buy the BD are given priority to buy the ticket, not the ticket itself. You can buy the ticket itself separately for much cheaper without buying the BD, so they weren’t expecting to sell 8k BDs based on that alone. But the thing is if nips don’t give a shit enough to buy BDs they won’t bother to purchase tickets to the event either so expect Mapp to give away at least half of the tickets for free.

アニメ化するのならこういうジャンルからヒントを得るべきであって、スローでシリアスな刑事ドラマからヒントを得るみたいなことなんかする必要ねえんだよ
He’s wrong in all of it.
The inspiration for CSM are 1. japanese action horror stories where the hero/ine becomes one with a monster and fight other monsters, ie devilman and 2. female-aimed age gap romance, ie kimi wa pet.
If you want to make it more live action, you take inspiration from these two genres, you don’t take from slow and serious cop shows or whatever the f**k he though was the inspiration.
