ここからさらにエスカレートすると思うけど、最初の数ターンの戦闘はかなり良かったな

I’m sure shit’s going to escalate quickly, but for the first few turns of the battle, this was pretty good.

Well, Dai is understandable, him being a Dragon Knight and all. It’s Popp’s growth that defies all expectations, though it could be argued Avan wouldn’t have picked him up if he didn’t see his innate genius from the start. It just had to be drawn out, and all the character flaws holding him back excised.

I still have no idea why Dai thinks bringing Leona along is a good idea. He already had to protect from Vearn and who knows when he might get distracted again. She may awaken to some hidden power going forward but she’s a liability for now.Mystvearn is such an enigma. The dude has to be some kind of undead or something (since he takes no damage from attacks to his vitals or from Maam’s refractor fist). He could potentially be as problematic as Vearn himself.

I’m guessing this is the final arc? Originally dropped this at around episode 7 I think (when Dai was fighting the first enemy of the week, the crocodile guy I think?) but I was thinking of giving it another shot now that I can marathon it.

ダイの大冒険もいよいよクライマックスだ。バーン含めて全員(ただしレオナを除く)が、全力を尽くしているのがとても良い。
ダイがバーンに怯えて固まっている姿は、バーンの強さと威圧感を物語っているね。バトル物の少年漫画としては、非常に「リアル」な瞬間だったと思う。
またポップや誰かが死にそうな時に、絶妙なタイミングで適任者が現れる。ヒュンケルたちが健在で、バックアップとして現れたのはとても嬉しかった。
素晴らしいエピソードで来週が待ち遠しい。
Lets goooooo Dai no daibouken is Finally reaching the climax. Everyone’s(except Leona) going all out rn including Vearn and I love it.
Seeing Dai literally freeze up and get scared of Vearn despite all the shit he’s been thru really drives home how powerful and intimidating Vearn is. I think that was a very “real” moment for a battle shonen.
Again, just when it seems like Popp or someone is gonna die off, the right person shows up at the perfect time. Was so nice to see Hyunckel and co alive and well and show up as backup.
Phenomenal episode , can’t wait for next week.

I love how Vearn explained to Dai exactly what his new power was and what advantages it gave him. Guess that even if he said that he wanted to kill him as efficiently as possible deep down Vearn really wanted to enjoy the fight.

It’s part because Vearn appreciates power and those who have it has his respect regardless. It is the only true law he believes in, that Might is Right.
