absolutely. i think this is one of the best shows of the year. Compared to campfire cooking in another world which is just another generic isekai fantasy show, this just goes above and beyond with how they explain how everything works. Im especially impressed with how the author incorporates monsters into a balanced ecology.

センシとマルシルの考え方の違いについても触れておきたい。センシが魔法をすごく嫌っていて、自分なりの”自然な”やり方で生活することに喜びを見出しているのは実に興味深い。そしてマルシルはそれをまったく理解していない。特に彼女は魔法を便利な方法としか考えておらず、このパーティにはすでに自分という魔法使いがいるんだから、当然自分を使うべきだと考えている。ダンジョンの中でこの関係がどう発展していくのか気になるところだ。
Another fun episode and we have slowly started seeing some more subtle worldbuilding in this story. We got to meet another species, the orcs and brief mention of the kobolds! The crumbling castle, the shady underground world, the role of monsters on different floors and its ecosystem.
I’ll like to mention something that will probably be overlooked here is the difference in philosophies of both Senshi and Marcille. I find it really interesting how Senshi absolutely hates magic – and finds joy in doing things his own ‘natural’ way. And Marcille just doesn’t understand that at all, especially as she sees it as a way of convenience and since their party already has a mage, why shouldn’t they use her? It will be interesting to see how this develops further on in the dungeon.

マルシルとオークが怒鳴り合うたびに疲れ果ててたのが笑えた！一緒に食事をしたおかげで事態がエスカレートすることなく、何とか妥協点を見つけられたのてよかったね。実際、あの出会いからしたら驚くほど心温まる結末だった。
Marcille and the orc getting exhausted after every shouting match was hilarious! I’m just glad that the situation didn’t escalate and they managed to find a middle ground thanks to them sharing a meal together. That was actually a surprisingly wholesome ending to that encounter.

マルシルはオークとずっとバチバチやってたのに、そのオークの村でずっと求めていたもの、つまり普通の食事についにありつけたってのが笑える。後半での食事は、魔物の部位を使わない、普通の食材だけが入った初めての食事だった。
For all tension Marcille has with Orcs, she funnily enough got what she’s been wanting at their village, a normal meal. The food at the end was the first time we’ve seen a meal with no monster parts, just normal ingredients.

Compared to the manga panel, this shot has a lot more orc civilians added to it, making the tone a lot more convivial.
The manga version of this chapter was more unsettling and scary but with the BGM and atmosphere you kinda forget these guys just massacred a bunch of people ten minutes ago.

アニメ化が発表された当初は、俺はトリガーがこの仕事に適したスタジオかどうか自信が持てなかったけど、今のところ彼らは漫画をほぼ正しくアニメ化してる。トーンや雰囲気を見事に表現してるし、アニメーションも素晴らしい。アクションの多いパート、特にレッドドラゴン戦が楽しみすぎる。
When the adaptation was announced I wasn’t sure if Trigger is the right studio for a job, but so far they’re mostly doing the manga justice. They nailed the tone and atmosphere, and the animation is superb. I cannot wait for more action oriented parts, especially the Red Dragon
