I refuse to believe Heaven being in the past is the real twist because it’s way too obvious. The real twist is that there’s either time travel involved or one of the two plots is actually all a simulation.

Makes sense. We see in the first hallucination Mimihime had was mixed with her vision in which we see bandages, a computer screen with the reflection of two people (possibly our protagonists). So it seems that, Mimihime, Ohma and Shiro escape together.

Since about episode 7, I’ve had a certain dread going into each episode, that I know things are going to get even worse as time goes on. This show is so incredibly effective at doing this, making me fear each plot development.
I’ve stopped trying to analyse this show, I think about 17 things got revealed, confirmed or teased this episode and it’s just too much for my poor head.

Between Tokio going through a painful birth while not understanding what’s happening to her, the hallucination of Mimihime getting cut open alive and the drolling monster when she was talking to Kona, this episode was pretty horrifying in spite of no current Hiruko attack occurring. Beheind the curtains, Takahara Academy seems to be a dreadful place.

So we got another shot of the Izanagi and Izanami picture. It makes sense somehow now taking into account that on their story Izanami gave birth to many gods including their first child, the deformed child, Hiruko. Does that name rings any bell???????
Yet there is something odd. In the later part of the story Izanagi (the man) does not travel to heaven but travels to hell instead (Yomi in this case), Remember the joke about something being more like hell than heaven? THis story is getting even better at each episode.
