I completely lost it when Kita was overtaken by whoever that was and just exclaimed “Who are you!?”. Made even better by the fact that when Duramente and Kita were having their post-race conversation she was just constantly celebrating in the background.

Kita’s “Who?” reaction to River Light passing her was one of the most relatable moments in this series. The way Uma Musume will have characters that haven’t even been teased come and win some of these races is strange(as reality can often be), but I can’t say I dislike it. It’s refreshing in a way, compared to how things usually go.
